The CHAN tournament will kick off in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Morocco is one of the most successful nations in the history of the competition, having won the tournament in consecutive editions on home soil in 2018 and again in Cameroon in 2021. They are among only two countries to have won the title twice, the other being the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo), which they will face in the group stage this year. In Group A, Morocco will compete against hosts Kenya, Angola, Zambia, and DR Congo. They will start their campaign against Angola next Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium. The remaining teams in Group A—DR Congo, Angola, and Zambia—are expected to arrive in Nairobi in the coming days. Zambia is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, while DR Congo and Angola will touch down on Thursday afternoon. Sixteen national teams will participate, joining co-hosts Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda for the TotalEnergies CHAN PAMOJA 2024. CAF has been working closely with the three Local Organizing Committees to ensure a smooth welcome, including final registration, logistics, and match-readiness briefings.
